Effective Evaluation

How do schools, colleges and other providers - including CPD providers - use evidence effectively to evaluate their own activities? The attached presentation approaches this question from substantial body of evidence about the characteristics of CPD which improves student learning outcomes.

Much of the learning from CUREE's work in this area has been distilled into the design of our QR CPD evaluation model - details of which can be found here. As teachers' professional learning happens mostly in-school, schools can help or hinder that by the learning environment they create  to be effective. And we have a model of for this too (!) called SKEIN. Over 35 schools (and colleges) have used this service so far.
