The CUREE route map and its replacement
WE developed the CUREE route map as a simple visual tool for teachers and leaders to find their way to free evidence based resources on the internet. However, since last updated (February 2011) these sources are disappearing as the agencies that provide them are wound up and/or the websites are dismantled as part of the Government's rationalisation. Unfortunately, 'rationalisation' seems to mean removal or archiving (usually in an unsearchable form).
CUREE is currently working on finding alternative ways of making these resources available. One of those ways, bespoke route maps for individual schools, is already available (click here for details). We are also developing more generic versions focussing on curriculum or pedagogic topics or themes of current interest. In our new world, this can no longer be a free service but we intend to make it as low cost as we can. In the meantime, we have left the original routemap on our website but with this warning that many of the links are no longer active.
