Lincolnshire Peer Review Project Launch

In an exciting new initiative, CUREE kick started a new project in Lincolnshire earlier this term, working with local headteachers to foster strong peer to peer networking and evaluation systems across the county’s schools. Supported by strong evidence and CUREE’s extensive experience within the education sector, the half-day workshop is the first of four that will lay the foundations for new, collaborative links between the county’s schools;  supporting the learning of both their students and staff through effective and peer-supported review.

The first workshop introduced the review model and rationale of the project, enthusing the head teachers involved with its emphasis on collaborative and constructive review.  Rather than a completed exercise, the workshop serves as the first step in a long dialogue between CUREE and the headteachers involved that will offer them informed and effective frameworks as they develop the peer-to-peer networks they first initiated in the workshop.

Having been introduced to evidence-based, effective review methods the participants will continue on to identify areas of academic excellence and the approaches that lead to them – helping to bridge the attainment gaps in Lincolnshire’s schools. The CUREE team are excited by the enthusiasm that has been shown by headteachers so far and looking forward to working with Lincolnshire schools further!
