Facilitation

Facilitate CPDL that Enhances Everyday Learning for Pupils, Students and Teachers

Facilitated by Philippa Cordingley and CUREE CPD experts, this exciting series of sessions offers a sustained development programme to scaffold and enrich your support for Continuing Professional Development and Learning (CPDL) across a range of  professional and developmental needs. Across three engaging sessions the programme will enable an iterative cycle of professional development and learning for you and the colleagues you support.

The first workshop in the programme will enable you to

Develop your understanding of the role of evidence accessed via;

  • formative and summative assessment tools for CPDL - both in facilitating it and evaluating its impact;
  • unpacking one of a series of recent case studies so that you can    evaluate your practice against a researched and annotated, relevant yardstick;
  • planning for a small scale, focussed and iterative cycle of CPDL in your school, drawing on your knowledge and understanding of the team you are supporting and their context; and
  • scaffolding and supporting the CPDL that you plan with practical tools.

By the end of the programme you will have;

  • debriefed your work in school with fellow participants and CPDL specialists;
  • planned a further two mini workshops or sessions within your phase or departmental meetings that support continuing work to embed new developments;
  • refined your approach to facilitation in the light of your own and other participants’ experiences; and
  • developed a plan for evaluating the impact of your support for your colleagues’ professional learning.

The CUREE guarantee
