The governance of individual schools, groups of schools particularly multi-academy trusts in England, colleges and whole educations systems has become a hot topic over the last 5 years. CUREE has contributed to the debate but also at a more practical level in various ways. Senior staff - particularly the Chief Executive and Managing Director - have roles in the English system in Trusts and on governing bodies. Paul Crisp, the Managing Director, is a National Leader of Governance and a trained External Review of Governance practitioner.
