Aim: The prevailing modern view of mathematical ability is one which includes creativity and transcends the more limited concept of technical ability. There is, however, little widely available material which, in a simple and accessible way, introduces secondary school age children to the world of creative mathematics. This projects main aim was to bridge this gap.

Aim: To examine the way language is used in mathematics and to help students improve their understanding of maths by giving them the confidence to express themselves in mathematical language.

Aim: The main aim of the project was to evaluate the contribution of between-teacher interactions in the workplace to the development of teachers craft knowledge. In so doing it sought to judge the value of such interactions in relation to other learning opportunities, such as engagement with research.

Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of using digital voice recorders with beginner ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) learners, to answer the following questions: To what extent does the use of a digital recorder enhance learners language learning experience? To what extent does it lead to improved language performance? To what extent are beginner learners of English (E1/E2) capable of scaffolding each other and is this effective?

Aim: A great deal of effort and expense is currently being expended in schools and Local Authorities on Learning Platforms (LPs). This study set out to explore how schools and students are using LPs. The report is intended to help inform readers about how teachers are using LPs and to describe students' experience of one mature installation.

Aim: The aims of this project were twofold; Ensure teachers in an 11-16 school understand the transition to AS Level from students perspectives in order to support the process and reduce drop out rates ; and Develop students from an 11-16 secondary settings understanding of skills, attitude and level of independence required for success at AS Level study.
